Front-end Web Development

All of my webpages have been designed taking viewport and device responsiveness into account. The primary tools I use when develping webpages are GitHub (for version control and tracking work or bugs that may arise), Visual Studio Code and the developer tools provided by the web browser I view my code on.
I develop with Mozilla Firefox, but always test compatibility across browsers before considering a web page complete.
Below is a sampling of my capabilities in producing quality web-pages through front-end development and design.

Graphic Design Work

Packaging Design

A complete packaging design used for a fictional product.

Initial work was focused on typography and finding the right fonts.

Once the fonts were selected, alterations to individual letters were made in order to fit the overall design and composition.

The font for the title of the product was further modified to conform to the contour of the design on the main, front facing.

Next, images were selected in which to create illustrations from.

These illustrations represent ingredients found within the product or hint at tradtional salve preparation.

Banners were used as a decorative frame, much like advertisements or packaging from the 19th century.

The aesthetic implemented in this packaging design is taken from woodcut engravings and contour hatching.

This design also draws inspiration from Victorian-era ads which were notorius for utilizing many more fonts than we do today.

3D Splash Graphic

This graphic was created as a splash image for my consulting website.

First, I began brainstorming ideas and creating vector art to reflect the services provided by the consultancy.

My work begain in Adobe Illustrator, but decided to switch to Blender (3D modelling software) as I could have more creative control with the three-dimensional nature of the design.

I utilized some of my previously created designs and imported them into Blender.

The imported (2D) vectors had to be modeled in 3D and placed within the diorama-like stage.

Color scheme in the scene, as well as the lighting, was determined by similar colors utilized in the page styles.

The final product blends well with the webpage design, portrays the areas of expertise of the consultant, and offers an interesting graphic to draw the end-user further into the content.

Font Engineering

An exploration and showcase of my thought process behind font designs.

Victor's Mix - Packaging Design

The inspiration for this design comes from art nouveau and old Victorian-era advertisements (late 19th century).

Originally, I found the type too thin, so I chose to thicken the legs and arms of the letters.

You will notice that some letters have been entirely redesigned (such as the "S"), some have had only portions altered, and some left mostly alone (such as the "O").

The leading "V" was dropped down the the baseline of the second word to give some overall structure and blockiness as this should have the most heirarchy when looking at the packaging it is in.

The "R" and "X" in the text were joined in the final design as this symbolizes the medicinal properties of the product.

Consulting Company Logo Title

I began the process of creating this company logo title by looking for types or fonts that conveyed organization, dominance (sans-serif, bold), science, and futuristic or space-age.

I noticed a repeating pattern of shapes with the "ANAN" part of the title and made alterations to the "...DA" in order to have them conform to the same shape.

I also had completely redesigned the "S" and "E" in "science" in order to neatly compact the overall shape into a box with border-radius applied to it's corners. The square shape of the logo text conveys stability, professionalism, reliability, and meeting expectations.
